“I would like to express my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. This is devastating news for the country, the Commonwealth and indeed the world.
“She was a towering global figure and served the United Kingdom with incredible dignity for seven decades.
“I was honoured to meet Her Majesty when she visited the Senedd in 2021, and I know that so many people from all parts of the world have wonderful memories of her.
“She spent time in Brecon & Radnorshire, memorably visiting Glanusk Estate in 2012 to be greeted by children from more than 50 schools.
“Her memory will live on, and my thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
