James Evans MS welcomes the re-opening of Brecon Recycling Centre.
Powys County Council have today (29th February) announced that Brecon Recycling Centre will be re-opening as of 11th March.
James Evans, MS for Brecon and Radnorshire said:
“I welcome the news of the re-opening of Brecon recycling centre. This has been sorely missed by many of my constituents over these past few months.
“However, I remain concerned that there are no plans to improve the access to each skip or to replace the dangerous metal steps. Many constituents told me that they have difficulty using the centre because of the uneven and slippery steps, and I had hoped that Powys County Council would improve this as part of their major works planned.
“It will be bitterly disappointing if no improvements have been made to the steps when the site re-opens.”
