Today, James Evans MS welcomed His Majesty the King & Her Majesty the Queen To Brecon as apart of their first official visit to Wales since the coronation. Being greeted by locally school children, His Majesty took part in a local church service before travelling around Brecon town, greeting locals and learning about the up and coming show season.
Commenting on today's engagement, James said.
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen to Brecon this month. Holding a long standing relationship with Wales and indeed Brecon itself, they were very warmly welcomed by the community who were keen to offer their sincere congratulations following the coronation.
James goes on to add.
It was clear to me that their visit was an incredibly personal one and had a lasting impact on the remainder of the official visits across the United Kingdom. The King himself carry's a great deal of appreciation amongst the people of Brecon & Radnorshire, through having spent a considerable amount of time here as Prince of Wales. His command of the Welsh language has furthermore shown to the people of Wales his understanding and value for the country's unique and valuable history here on the British Isles.
