The Senedd Dog of the Year competition has now concluded, and James Evans MS’ cocker spaniel Bonnie has won the public vote!
Following the successful events held in Westminster and Holyrood, the inaugural Senedd Dog of the Year competition was held in Britannia Park on 23rd May. Organised by The Kennel Club and Dog’s Trust, the contest provided the chance for the organisations to engage with Senedd members and raise awareness of key issues which affect canine welfare.
The overall competition was won by Jack Sargeant MS and his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Coco.
James Evans MS said:
“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for my lovely Bonnie. She not only brings a smile to my face, but to everyone she meets. She is the perfect example of just how much of a positive impact dogs can have on our mental health.”
