In his election campaign, local MS James Evans stated the importance of rural homes and businesses having access to a good internet connection. He understands the difficulties created by poor broadband connectivity and recently made a site visit to a farm in the Brecon and Radnor Constituency where the family has struggled with very poor broadband with speeds of less than 2Mbps for many years. He wanted to appreciate fully the issues of living with slow broadband in a rural community. The family concerned are recipients of the ABC Grant Scheme from the Welsh Government which has enabled them to have a state of the art broadband system professionally installed by CS Cymru of Brecon. The cost of the equipment and the installation was fully covered by the grant and, without it, the family would still be struggling today.

“I know all too well that many families in Brecon and Radnorshire and across rural Britain struggle to access acceptable levels of internet access.
Both as a Powys County Councillor and now as a Senedd Member, working with organisations to tackle poor internet access has been a top priority.
We have seen vast improvements in recent years with far more communities well connected and firms like CS Cymru are vital to helping us be able to achieve full coverage across our beautiful rural communities.
I look forward to meeting with the fantastic team at CS Cymru in the near future to see how other projects are progressing.”
