Wales does not need more politicians.
The Welsh Labour Government is working with coalition partners, Plaid Cymru, to expand the Senedd and have more politicians. More politicians will cost millions and take money from frontline services.
James Evans MS commented “ The Senedd, under Welsh Labour control since 1999, is not working in the best interests of the people of Wales. The cosy Cardiff Bay political class are so far removed from the views of decent, hardworking people.
Residents across Brecon and Radnorshire tell me they do not support more Senedd Members. The Welsh Labour Government should be more focused on improving our schools, cutting NHS waiting times, and supporting our local businesses as we recover from the pandemic.
At a time when people are seeing their living costs rocket and are struggling to make ends meet after the pandemic’s catastrophic effects on our economy, the Welsh Government think giving their chums more taxpayer funded jobs is the answer.
We need tax cuts, reform to fix our crumbling public services and a real economic plan to fix the situation we are facing.
The Welsh Conservatives are opposed to expanding the size of the Senedd and are committed to ensuring existing Senedd Members work in the best interests of the people of Wales.”
